Beyond Recording
September 29, 2005Today Peter Svensson an AP Technology writer published a short review of three competitive "radio recorder" software products.
Peter appreciated a few of our strengths, but he gave the nod to a competitor called Replay-Radio. He felt RadioTime was more confusing. Congratulations to the good folks at Replay-Radio.
The short review covered recording streaming programs. We'll argue why our recording is best. But radio is also great live. This post responds to a few points then outlines some our our unique advantages as a consumer service.

New Mac Client Available: Testers Wanted
September 16, 2005We've released a new version of the RadioTime Mac client to fix reliability problems. There was a problem with the failing to open the correct media player when it came time to record causing the recording to completely fail. The bug is mainly a Tiger issue, however there have been a few cases reported on OSX 10.3.
The client is free, but you'll also need to enroll for a free RadioTime account.
Please send any feedback about the client or any other problem to support@radiotime.com

RadioTime Gets a Facelift
September 07, 2005You may notice a few changes around here. We've updated the default "RadioTime" skin all around, including the company home page, RadioTime service, and soon the RadioTime Desktop Player.
We've simplified the navigation using a single line at the top instead of the bulky left side nav. This gives us some extra breathing room when displaying large amounts of data, but more importantly, it allows RadioTime to easily be displayed in other players and services.

Individual favorites folders are now displayed on the "Manage Favorites" page. This puts folder access one extra click away, but the tradoff for a cleaner site was well worth it. We've also added incidcators for the "current" and "default" folders, a common feature that users request.
